Horsforth Foodbank

DUE TO COVID: The Foodbank is presently operating a delivery only service direct from the warehouse. The Horsforth site has not yet reopened.

Before Covid, Horsforth Foodbank (a distribution centre of Leeds North Foodbank) was open twice a week in Horsforth. The aim is to help people who have entered a crisis period with emergency food. It is run by volunteers and previously Horsforth Foodbank was open 2-4pm on Wednesdays and 10-12noon on Saturdays at Lister Hill Baptist Church.

Need Help: Foodbank is run on a voucher scheme.  Referral Agencies include GPs, MPs, Community Hubs and presently you can access a referral through Citizens Advice Bureau on 08082082938.

Applications for, or enquiries about volunteering, can be made through the Leeds North and West Foodbank website.

Donation points in Horsforth include Morrisons but larger donations can be taken directly to the new warehouse in Burley between 10am and 2pm on Monday to Thursday.

Why a foodbank outlet in Horsforth?*

1 in 5 people in Britain are living in poverty and with benefit changes, more people are becoming vulnerable to their circumstances changing and having to make choices between heating & eating.

God calls us to be a neighbour to all

*Because no one should have to go hungry…
…Not when we have the means to help them!
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me…” Jesus
