St James is a vibrant Church of England congregation in Horsforth, and in 2023 it celebrated 175 years of serving the local community.
We are a vibrant and family friendly church and support modern and traditional styles of worship, with a congregation spanning all age groups. Visitors and new members can expect a warm welcome and an informal atmosphere. The congregation spans all age groups but is particularly popular with young families.
The Church is hidden from the road, halfway along Low Lane between Lickless Drive and St. James Terrace in Woodside, Horsforth, NW Leeds. Postcode LS18 5QW. There is parking available.
Sunday Services
9am Service: Alternating between Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer and Morning Prayer. These 45-minute services are followed by tea and coffee in the Parish Centre.
10.30am Service: Family focused worship alternating between Morning Worship and Holy Communion. Kid’s Church happens at the same time every 2nd and 4th Sunday in the month. Services last about 60 minutes and are followed by tea and coffee in the Parish Centre.
Other Activities
Pop up Cafe on the second Friday every month – come along to the Parish Centre for a natter, coffee and some delicious home made cake.

The Church’s Parish Centre is modern and well equipped, it hosts many activities during the week including our popular Pop-up Cafe, as well as small businesses running Numbertrain, Baby Massage and various fitness classes.
