Below are a variety of ways people can support refugees in Leeds. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list. Firstly, please look at what organisations are saying is the best way to respond. Donations of essential items In the Horsforth area, Horsforth Town of Sanctuary are collecting donations of men’s clothes and shoes/trainers, particularly for new arrivals to a local hotel. Alpha Course in Horsforth It will run on Sunday’s 6pm – 7.45pm with the first session starting on Sunday 5th March 2023  You are very welcome to come for the first session and see if it’s for you. Alpha is a great opportunity to explore to ask some of the big questions of life and consider how the Christian faith wrestles with them. Our social groups provide a whole range of support and services, including a wide range of activities and events, supported outings, befriending services, interest groups, signposting and other services that enable older people to remain actively involved in their local community.
