‘Helping Horsforth Flourish’
The aim of Horsforth Chaplaincy Project (HCP) is to support the church as a whole in ‘helping Horsforth flourish’ in all aspects of the community.
HCP is endorsed by the Horsforth Churches Together (HCT) meeting to organise activities and to represent HCT’s voice in various settings.
We are an independent charitable organisation, part of parent charity Leeds Christian Community Trust charity number 1096860, registered limited company no. 4632481.

OUR VISION AND VALUES
- HCP vision is about working together, supporting Horsforth churches to work, serve and reach together to the whole of Horsforth.
- HCP vision is a holistic one, ready to care and engage with any and every area of Horsforth life that all who live here would flourish.
- HCP vision is a prayerful one, seeking to encourage prayer and be an outward expression of the Lord’s prayer.
- HCP vision is generous one, seeking that Horsforth as a town would be a blessing beyond LS18.

OUR SUPPORT
We are so grateful for the support we receive from many, and there is always a need for more to join in.
You can support our work in 3 different ways:
- Keeping informed and Praying for us – sign up to receive monthly mailings by contacting Rhoda on rhoda@horsforthchplaincy.org
- Volunteering to help on teams or at events – email Duncan on duncan@ horsforthchaplaincy.org
- Giving financially, either regularly or by one-off gifts (see methods below)
We rely heavily on donations from individuals who very kindly provide roughly 80 % of our core income, but also on contributions from churches and sometimes grants (Laura’s role has been mostly funded by a Government grant but these funds run out at the end of September 2025).
Our current financial needs (July 2025) are:
- URGENTLY needed – £2000 to continue Laura’s role with the Refugee Work beyond September 2025 for 1 year on 1 day a week
- Need to cover a shortfall of £4000 a year for Duncan and Rhoda’s roles and general project costs
- Aspiration to employ a part-time Youth Worker in the High School
Example: ** 15 people giving £25 a month pays a member of staff 1 day a week **
All amounts are just as essential to us – people currently give anything from £5 to £150 a month, as they have given what they can.
Regular giving is so helpful as it allows us to focus on the work rather than spending a lot of time on fundraising, but one-off gifts are just as important to us.
You can choose from several ways to give:
A. Online Bank Transfer:
- 1. Set up a payment with the REFERENCE: HORSFORTH, using these bank details: Payee Name: Leeds Christian Community Trust (LCCT) Account no: 20129563 Sort code : 60-83-01
- 2. Then email HCP at support@horsforthchaplaincy.org or ring Duncan on 0113 2580510, to notify us of your gift so we can identify it correctly, and we can also send a Gift Aid form to claim an extra 25% on your giving if you are a tax payer.
B. ONLINE securely through Peoples Fundraising platform – there are lots of options including credit card, Paypal, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Direct Debit. Just click the BUTTON BELOW:

C. Giving by cheque
Cheques need to be made payable to Leeds Christian Community Trust with ‘Horsforth’ written on the back of the cheque and sent to HCP, 5 The Grove, Horsforth, Leeds, LS18 4BB.
If you have any queries do please email Duncan on support@horsforthchaplaincy.org or ring him on 0113 2580510. Thank you.
Thank you so much for supporting us!
