Sat 6th Dec alongside Christmas Lights Switch on / Market – outside The Grove


During this popular Christmas event on Sat 6th Dec we will have a stall (12.30 – 6.30pm) and a Nativity Dressing Up activity (1.30 – 5pm) outside The Grove church.
Can you join us to:
– Give out our Horsforth Churches Together Christmas Cards for 1 hour between 12.30 and 6.30pm? OR
– Help to run the Nativity Dressing Up Activity for 1 hour between 1.30 and 5pm?

Sat 13th Dec 4pm – 4.30pm Carols in the Park


A great community event in the Horsforth calendar, with around 800 attending last year! As usual there will be fairy lights, the Nativity Stable with dressed up characters, the Stroke of Genius Big Band playing, and mince pies and a warm drink being served.
VOLUNTEERS needed – to be stewards, dress up for the Nativity, and serve refreshments.

Rewind to Christmas Friday 28th Nov and Tues 2nd Dec


Around 300 year 4 children from all the primary schools in Horsforth will experience the real Christmas story through 4 fantastic interactive half-day sessions. They always find it very engaging and the teachers give excellent feedback every year. DBS is required.

Donate items for Refugee Christmas Gift Boxes

Being far away from your family, friends and everything you are used to is hard, especially at festival time: help us make locally-housed men seeking sanctuary to feel loved at this time; even just giving one item will make a massive difference. We need: New men’s socks & boxers/underpants, beanies and gloves, moisturiser, pens and notebooks, and chocolate.
Drop off points are:
MONDAYS: Horsforth Community Cafe 10am – 2pm, St Margaret’s Parish Centre
TUES – FRI: Mornings 9.30 -11.30am Holy Name Church, Otley Old Rd
FRIDAYS: Cragg Hill Baptist Church 10.30am – 12.00, Cragg Avenue/Cragg Hill
